Access Bank Boss, Aig Imoukhuede Floats Media Network To Battle Oppositions To CBN Governor's Job!


Mr Aigboje Aig Imoukhuede, front person of financial institution - Access Bank is very serious about succeeding troubled Central Bank Governor, Mallam Lamido Sanusi.

The aspiring Emir of Kano's tenure ends soon- and especially with declaration he is not interested in a renewal, the jostle for his successor has become very keen.


The most visible contenders in the public eye is the headman of financial institution- Mr Aigboje Aig Imoukuede.

Backed with the pedigree of turning a

minimal staffed bank into an industry giant- the Access bank boss has run his campaign for the CBN job in such a manner to court public appeal.

His ambition was leaked and subsequent step ups in his terrain, such as appointed as member of the National Economic Management Team and others, utilised in manners to accentuate  preffered profile of a 'developmental economist more than capable to administer the Central Bank' in the public arena.

However with the appointment time drawing nearer, competition for the post has become severe and fiercer.

And Mr Aigboje and his handlers adopted a keener approach.

Insiders revealed the outgoing Access bank boss and his crew have 'set up a media network'

According to an insider 'aside sustaining functions of publicly putting the top banker in line for the job, the aim is to respond to or preempt threats to his ambition'

Included in the list are former bank boss and fellow member of the National Economic Management Team- Mr Atedo Peterside, serial contender and incumbent CBN Deputy Governor - Tunde Lemo, Only female and another CBN deputy governor - Dr. Sarah Omotunde Alade, current director general, Budget Office, Ministry of finance - Dr. Bright Okogu, special adviser to the President -Professor Sylvester Monye, a respected bank boss now the head of a mega corporation and another bank boss still in office.
